Did you know the ideal time to photograph your newborn is between 6 to 12 days old?
Many families reach out hoping to book in when their little one is 4,or even 10 weeks old — and while those ages are beautiful too, for newborn photography, it’s often too late to achieve those sleepy, curled-up poses.
Why those first 12 days?
In those early days, your baby is still adjusting to the world. After a good feed, they tend to drift into a deep sleep, allowing us to gently pose them while they’re calm, relaxed, and snuggly.
Once babies are over 12 days old, they start stretching out, becoming more alert and less likely to settle into the safe, cozy poses we aim for.
I book up months in advance and only take a limited number of sessions each month to accommodate early and overdue arrivals.
To avoid missing out, it’s best to get in touch during your second trimester to reserve a spot around your due date.
